Orders of Love

Picture

I see my roots in
my father,
my mother,
my grandfathers,
my grandmothers and
all my ancestors.
I know I am only the continuation of this ancestral lineage.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Bert Hellinger is the founder of Family Constellation work in its modern day form. Its stem from integrating systems theory, psychotherapy, family and group therapy and phenomenology. He discovered that within every family there are certain orders and principles that prevail he called these The Orders of Love.

"These are patterns that, when followed, create harmony and peacefulness in families, and when out of alignment, create Entanglements, tension, and there is difficulty finding any lasting peace among family members" (J. Faust & P. Faust, 2015 p.78).

Order of Precedence: Parents come first then children in birth order those that were born first, second and so on.  This hierarchy also applies to relationships the first wife comes first. Parents give and children receive. This allows the energy to flow in its natural order (J. Faust & P. Faust, 2015 p.78).

Order of Inclusion: Everyone has an equal right to belong no matter what their life circumstances are (J. Faust & P. Faust, 2015 p.78).

Order of Balance: Everyone has a right to their own fate and should be respected for their Soul's journey (J. Faust & P. Faust, 2015 p.78).

"When the orders of love have been restored in the family, the individuals can go beyond the family. Then they feel the strength of the family coming from behind them. When the connectedness in the family is acknowledged, the responsibilities are seen and shared clearly, the individuals feel relieved . Now they can follow their unique individuality without being burdened  and caught by what went on before them "  ~ Bert Hellinger
